RSS Reader

An RSS feed is a type of web feed which allows users to access updates to online content. RSS feeds are read by RSS readers, such as the RSS reader in your homesync account. Many popular websites, blogs, and apps allow 3rd party application to access their content via RSS feeds.

The RSS Reader in homesync allows you to follow any valid RSS feed and have the content of that feed be delivered straight into your dashboard.

Finding an RSS feed

Finding an RSS feed for a website is straightforward. Most blogs and website have an RSS feed link on their homepage or blog. If they have the link, all you have to do is click it and then copy the url of the RSS link you want to follow.

If you do not see an RSS feed for a website you want to follow, you can try to append ‘/rss’ to the web url you are on. For example, if you go to www.cnn.com/rss, you will be shown a list of all the rss feeds CNN has available for you to follow.

If you are still not able to find an RSS feed, there may not be one available. You can still try to add the URL of the website you’d like to follow to your RSS reader in homesync. Homesync will also automatically attempt to find a RSS feed with the URL you input.
