Question: "I've authenticated with Facebook but I still can't publish or see any analytics"

Facebook has varying level of permissions when 3rd party apps authenticate. You need to make sure that not only have you authenticated, but that you've also granted the pages and Instagram accounts all the required permissions for Homesync to be able to make calls to them. Go to your Facebook or Facebook Pages link in your navigation bar and click "Reauthenticate." Once in the Facebook login dialog, click "Edit Settings" and make sure you've selected all the permissions for each page you'd like to manage on Homesync.

 

Question: "I see pages in my Facebook pages list but I can't seem to manage them or modify them"

The first thing to check is whether or not you have "Manage Social Networks" permissions in the Homesync profile. If you are an administrator, you will have this permission by default. If you were invited into the profile, check with your profile administrator.

If another user in your Homesync profile is the one that initiated the Facebook Login & Authentication to manage the page you are trying to modify it will be up to that user to modify any Facebook permissions given to that page. Since Facebook page authentication is linked to a single Facebook user account, the Facebook user account that initiated the login is the only one that can modify any permissions. If you also have admin privileges to the Facebook page, you can remove the Facebook page from the Homesync profile and re-add it so that you have control (Doing this will cancel any future schedule posts. Analytics will be retrieved after the page has been re-added).

 

Question: "Sometimes I publish videos and they only appear on Facebook minutes later"

Facebook processes videos as they receive them from Homesync. Depending on the quality and size of the video, Facebook can take anywhere between a few seconds to a few minutes to process and publish. If it is a large or very high quality video, it is recommended you publish prior to when you want it to appear on social media.

 

Question: "Some of my analytics are not up to date"

Facebook analytics take 48 hours to be delivered so most analytics retrieved from Facebook will be at most 2 days delayed.
